Standard 2 Artifact 2
Standard 2 Artifact 1: I have added a sample letter that was sent out to all of the parents of a classroom I was teaching in at the time inviting the parents to come in and be active participants in our classroom. Key element 2c clearly states that all families and communities should be involved in the child's school activities creating a completely engaged group of adults working together to help that child to succeed.
Standard 2 Artifact 2: I chose to use this letter as an artifact because it engages the families of the students by asking them to join the classroom on social media and at the same time it is a respectful way to ask the families of the children to bring in more personal items from home so that the teachers and their classmates can get to know them better meeting the criteria for key elements 2a and 2c.
